“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​resource guarder (scored 3 out of 5 on Aug. 10), Willys Parkway, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Chow chow mix, brown and white female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (hernias, displaced abdominal contents, risk of hernial strangulation/​necrosis and severe complications), surrendered by Jesse Plybon, Bakewell Street, Toledo.

Chow chow/​golden retriever mix, orange male, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (severe bilateral arthritis and muscle loss in rear hips and legs, very limited range of motion in hips and knees, pain, progressive condition with poor prognosis), Plymouth Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Chihuahua, white female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (overall muscle wasting, hunched spine, cataracts and chronic keratitis in eyes, reluctant to move or walk, very severe dental disease and infection with most teeth missing and possible bone loss, pain, very poor prognosis), Greenbelt Parkway, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
