Dogs killed Aug. 21 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Siberian husky, white female, unlicensed, fearful/unsafe, surrendered by Jeremy Shaffer, Blanche Drive, Oregon.

Chinese Shar-Pei, black and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 4 out of 5 on Aug. 20), Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” black and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on Aug. 20), Broadway Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on Aug. 20), South Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” brindle female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on Aug. 20), Knower Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Chow chow, black and gray female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (very elderly, severely ill), surrendered by William Fultz, Broadway Street, Toledo.
