Dogs killed Nov. 20 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

Bullmastiff, brindle female, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (pinning down and attacking other dogs during playgroup Nov. 8); confiscated by Toledo police Nov. 1 serving a search warrant at 1540 Mott Ave., Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, white and tan male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; confiscated by Toledo police Nov. 16 serving a search warrant at 1122 Orchard St., Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/resource guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on Nov. 19); stray taken to shelter Nov. 16 by Austin Como, Grasser Street, Oregon, from Dorr Street and Reynolds Road, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brown and white female, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Nov. 16 by Tamieka Reynolds, Dorr Street, Spencer Township, from Dorr Street, Spencer Township.

Chow chow mix, black and white male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (attacked by another dog, wont eat or take medication, progressively rapid breathing, unable to stand on right front leg, extreme swelling, deep tissue injuries, continuing to bleed, pain); stray picked up Nov. 20 by a control officer at 1821 Norwood Ave., Toledo.

Miniature poodle, white and black female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (13 years old, blind); surrendered Nov. 20 by Joseph Smith, Kirby Place, Toledo.
