Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed Feb. 16 and 18-19 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull” mix, black and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (lunging and biting at fence in playgroup Feb. 15); stray taken to shelter Feb. 6 by an unknown city of Toledo worker, from Stickney Avenue and Spring Street, Toledo.

Labrador retriever, black and gray female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (elderly, lateral and unresponsive, not eating, not moving); surrendered Feb. 16 by Cleo Lipscomb, Hickory Street, Toledo.

Akita/Siberian husky mix, tan male, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Feb. 13 by Tiffany Kohl, Radcliffe Drive, Toledo, from Chapin Street and South Avenue, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” gray and white female, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; surrendered Feb. 14 by Imani Ware, Torrey Hill Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” gray and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered Feb. 13 by Delaha Dorsey, Elm Street, Toledo.

Presa Canario, tan and brindle female, unlicensed; aggressive/unsafe; confiscated Feb. 7 by Toledo police from 1200 Starr Ave., Toledo, after serving a search warrant.
