Joy Perry waves to spectators as she portrays Mrs. Claus in the 35th annual East Toledo Christmas Parade. Ms. Perry has played the role of Santa's spouse for the life of the parade. The parade route began at North Ravine and ended up at Waite High School.

Sherri Wilson, left, and her granddaughter Kieshara Wilson, 3, are excited to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus himself during the parade. Ms. Wilson says she attends the parade every year. 'We look forward to it,' Ms. Wilson says. "I would hate it if it stopped. It helps to keep the east side spirit.'
