Northwood

St. Francis de Sales High School hold annual Fun-a-Rama Feb. 28 from noon to 8 p.m. Bancroft Street and Parkside Boulevard. Events include gladiator jousts, cash-prize raffles, radar speed pitching, a clown and magician, bingo, adult casino, fast food, barbecue chicken dinners with carryout available, Ferdos hummos and pita, and Stanley's kielbasa dogs. Medal of Honor speech by Conrad Lippincott at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Toledo Club downtown, sponsored by American Legion Toledo Post 335. A history teacher and former member of the Air Force, he will speak about the highest military decoration awarded by the U.S. government. It was created in 1862 and signed into law by President Lincoln. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and costs $14. Program at 12:30 p.m. is free.
