The Lake Local Board of Education is to hold a special meeting at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the middle school library.

The board is expected to approve a new teachers’ contract and request the Wood County auditor to certify a 6.75-mill operating levy for the Nov. 6 ballot should the same levy on the Aug. 7 ballot fail.

The three-year levy would generate about $1.47 million in its first year and cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $200 annually.
