Chinese to be option as foreign language elective at Port Clinton

Port Clinton High School will offer Chinese as a foreign language elective beginning with the 2013-14 school year.

A grant from the Ohio Board of Regents will be used to pay for the Chinese program, in conjunction with the Chinese government, through an organization known as Hanban. The high school will offer two periods of Chinese I, as well as introductory classes to grade 8 students at the middle school.
