Oregon will be getting $ 3 million in state funding to offset the cost of relocating Cedar Point Road for an expansion of the BP Husky LLC refinery, according to the office of state Rep. Matt Szollosi (D., Oregon).

The refinery is located on 586 acres on Cedar Point Road and has been in continuous operation since 1919. It has committed to retaining 550 full-time jobs as a result of the project and state assistance for it.

“We were in competition with China and Indiana for this project, so I am relieved to see these jobs remain in the community,” Mr. Szollosi said.

The project will relocate Cedar Point Road about a mile to the south.
