Sequester to close IRS offices on 5 days in June, July, August

All Internal Revenue Service offices will be closed Friday, June 14, July 5, July 22, and Aug. 30 because of the sequester.

IRS employees will be furloughed without pay on those days.

All IRS operations will be closed those days, including offices, toll-free hotlines, the Taxpayer Advocate Service, and the agency’s nearly 400 taxpayer assistance centers nationwide.
