ACHIEVEMENTS

■ Ginger Jones has joined the board of directors of Toledo-based Libbey Inc. Ms. Jones is the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Plexus Corp, a global electronic, engineering, and manufacturing-services company.

■ Patrick S. Mullin has been named to the board of directors of Maumee-based The Andersons Inc. Mr. Mullin is a retired managing partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP in Cleveland.

■ Leadership Toledo’s membership has elected its new officers: president Lori Powe, NBS Commercial Interiors; vice president Troy Hill, ProMedica; treasurer Tyler Weilacher, KeyBank; secretary William Garbe, Fifth Third Bank, and past president Carrie Serber, Arakyta. Other board members include Christopher Denman, Lauren Diehl, Margot Estes, Becca Gorman, Allison Hammons, Jessica Hamner, Dan McQuillen, Scott Newsom, Debby Peters, Margo Stewart, Alicia Wagner, and Jim Walrod II. The student members of the board of trustees are David Henninger, Lake High School; Jenny Kim, Notre Dame Academy; Sarah Raymond, Northwood High School, and Noah Tye, Perrysburg High School.

■ Shelly McCoy-Grissom, associate dean of operations at Mercy College of Ohio, has been elected to the board of directors of Prevent Blindness Ohio, a volunteer nonprofit public health organization.

■ The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio will join with the MCA, AGC, and NECA for the monthly Joint Construction Safety Meeting breakfast at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Mechanical Contractors Association, 7550 Caple Blvd., Northwood. ■ Anneliese Grytafey, manager of the new Toledo office of the Economic and Community Development Institute will speak about the institute’s small-business loan program from 5-6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Northwest Ohio Cooperative Kitchen, 13737 Middleton Pike, near Bowling Green. The seminar for entrepreneurs and small-business owners is hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology. Cost: $25 per person or $40 for two. ■ Registration is open for the 2013 Small Business Convention, to be held Oct. 24-25 at Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky.
