ACHIEVEMENTS

■ Five partners from the Sandusky law firm of Murray & Murray have been designated as 2014 Ohio Super Lawyers by the Thomson Reuters service: Charles M. Murray, Dennis E. Murray, Jr., Dennis E. Murray, Sr., John T. Murray, and Margaret M. Murray. Two partners, Florence J. Murray and Leslie O. Murray, were named “2014 Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers, an honor for attorneys who are under age 40 or have been practicing law for less than 10 years.

■ Charles H. Moyer has been named president and CEO of Fremont’s Mosser Construction Inc. He joined the firm in 1976 and has been executive vice president since 2007.

■ Mary Horn has been named vice president, fine wine sales and education for Heidelberg Distributing. She was previously vice president of sales for the firm’s Wine Trends division.

■ The Associated General Contractors of NW Ohio has elected new officers: President Royce Kohman (Mosser Construction Inc.), Vice President Greg Myers (Henry Gurtzweiler Inc.), and Secretary-Treasurer John Willson (Willson Builders). New three-year trustees are Ken Gabel (VM Systems Inc.), Don Majchrowski (RMF Nooter Co.), and Jeff Schaller (Rudolph/​Libbe Inc.). Kevin Smith has been named CEO and legal counsel, and Mary Gregory has been named executive vice president.

■ A free educational seminar for women-owned businesses will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday on the eighth floor of the Toledo Edison building, 300 Madison Ave., Toledo. Topics will include the women-owned small business contracting program and “What the Health Care Act Means for Small Businesses.” The event is sponsored by the Small Business Association and the Small Business Development Center at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce.
