Regional bankruptcies stay level with last year

Northwest Ohio bankruptcy filings in March were almost exactly the same as a year earlier.

There were 523 bankruptcy filings in March, according to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Toledo, which covers 21 counties in northwest Ohio. There were 529 in March, 2013.

For the year, there have been 1103 filings, down 13.8 percent from the first three months of last year.
