Work continues on the seventh GenoaBank location in northwest Ohio, at 5501 Monroe St. in Sylvania Township. The branch, on the southwest corner of Monroe Street and Whiteford Road, is expected to open in July. The 4,200-square-foot facility will have three drive-through lanes and an automated teller system. The project is expected to cost about $2.4 million, including about $700,000 spent to buy 1.5 acres from ABC Warehouse next door. The site was home to a Sylvania Township fire station that closed in 2010. GenoaBank, founded in 1902, has locations in Genoa, Elmore, Millbury, Oregon, Rossford, and Maumee.
