ACHIEVEMENTS

■ Maurice Jones, William Shininger, Harold Holland, and Lloyd Graber make up the 2014 class of the Fulton County Agricultural Hall of Fame.

■ Monroe-based La-Z-Boy Inc. has promoted two top executives. Doug Collier has been named senior vice president, chief marketing officer, and president of La-Z-Boy’s international operations. Darrell Edwards has been named senior vice president and chief supply chain officer.

■ Terri Tassie of Dundee, Mich., has been named to the executive board of directors of Pure Romance, a seller of relationship-enhancement products. Ms. Tassie has been a consultant with the company for 13 years.

■ Sergio Rivera has been appointed to the board of directors of Toledo-based Health Care REIT, a real estate investment trust that specializes in medical and senior-living facilities. Mr. Rivera is president of the Americas for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience in global real estate development, finance, and brand management and development.

■ The Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce was recognized at the recent Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for finishing in the top 10 in the nation in three categories: membership retention, accounts; new membership, dues, and new membership, accounts.
