U. of Findlay develops terror aids for hospitals

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay's Center for Terrorism Preparedness has developed a wall chart on bioterrorism that will be distributed to more than 5,000 hospital emergency departments across the country.

The chart shows 12 biological agents and associated symptoms in a checklist format. It displays infection control measures, phone numbers of key agencies, and sources for more information on bioterrorism.

UF's Center for Terrorism Preparedness, which was designated last year as a Center for Bioterrorism and Emerging Health Threats by the Centers for Disease Control, prepared the wallchart through a grant from the National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism in Oklahoma City.
