Port Clinton board elevates school leader
PORT CLINTON - The Port Clinton board of education announced yesterday that the district's director of student services will be its next superintendent of schools.
Patrick Adkins, 38, who has worked for the Port Clinton school system since December, 1995, was principal of Catawba and Portage elementary schools before taking his current post in June, 2002. Former Superintendent Bart Anderson left the district Aug. 1 to become head of the Franklin County Educational Service Center.
Former Benton-Carroll-Salem Superintendent Terry Clark has been Port Clinton's interim superintendent since Mr. Anderson's resignation took effect last week. Mr. Adkins' salary has not been set but will be between $85,590 and $98,093, the district's pay range for the superintendent's position.
