Cara Bragg, a senior from Holland, plans to attend a four-year college, major in history and English, and pursue a career as a teacher. She enjoys history and English and carries a 4.4 grade point average.

Cara has maintained first honors for the last three years; is a National Merit semi-finalist; placed third in French grammar and culture at the University of Toledo's Foreign Language Day Competition; and is recipient of the school's Good Citizenship Award.

She is a member of the varsity tennis team, stage crew, pastoral core team, global concerns, spiritual activities and drama club.

Cara has volunteered as a teacher's aide at St. Joan of Arc parish Sunday school, where she also is a softball aide. She has traveled to Appalachia during Christmas and Easter on mission trips.

"Cara is one of the brightest students I've encountered in my teaching career," said English Department chairman Laura Gallaher. "She is an insightful reader and profound thinker who values knowledge for its own sake and its practical application."

Cara is the daughter of Michael Bragg and Sharon Scsavnicki.
