Student of the Week: Christopher J. Farina

Christopher J. Farina, a senior from Toledo, plans to pursue a career as a physician. His favorite subjects include biology, Latin and philosophy and he carries a 4.5 grade point average.

Chris has been a member of the Collegium Honorum for the past four years; achieved a perfect score on the National Latin Examination with accompanying gold and silver medals; and received the science award, the sophomore history and Latin awards and the band leadership award.

He is a member of the band, soccer and track teams, and cast member in spring musical performances. He enjoys volunteering at Grace Community Center.

"Christopher is a forthright, amiable, adventurous student who has earned the respect of the other students and myself with his integrity and sense of humor," said advanced placement biology teacher Mark Walton.

Latin IV teacher Nicholas M. Russo describes Chris as "a self-motivated, conscientious student who readily accepts challenges. He is respected by students for his integrity, Christian kindness and dedication to learning."

He is the son of Philip and Cathy Farina.
