The University of Toledo has received a $10,000 grant from the Ohio Lake Erie Commission for more research of the Old Woman Creek watershed in Erie County.
Andrew Heydinger, the project's lead researcher, plans to use computer software to help study the creek's unique hydrology and geology.
The data will help scientists learn more about climate and land-use practices in this part of the Great Lakes region, the commission said.
