Owens Community College hires new president
6/8/2010The Owens Community College board Tuesday unexpectedly hired interim president Larry McDougle as the college's president.
Mr. McDougle took over at the interim position Jan. 1. He is a former president of Northwest Community College in Archbold.
The board hired Mr. McDougle at its regular meeting Tuesday, after coming out of an executive session. He replaces Christa Adams, who was president from July, 2001 through last year.
Mr. McDougle was not among the five finalists under consideration for the position by the college's search committee. He resume was not in the original pool of applicants.
