Oregon school board eliminates 8 positions
5/17/2011The Oregon Board of Education Tuesday night agreed to lay off eight classified personnel related to the closing of Wynn Elementary for next school year.
Positions to be eliminated are a school nurse, six cafeteria employees, and a playground monitor. The layoffs are effective Aug. 1.
The closing of Wynn Elementary is part of Oregon City Schools’ plan to cut $2.4 million in costs annually
