St. Francis, St. Ursula named in mystery trust

Two more Toledo Catholic high schools will receive trust funding from a mysterious donor.

After a recent announcement this week that Notre Dame Academy would receive $1.5 million in scholarship funding, it was revealed that St. Ursula Academy and St. Francis de Sales High School were also beneficiaries of the Dorothy Wideman Trust.

St. Ursula Academy and St. Francis will split $1.5 million, according to Amy Rounds, St. Ursula communications director.

Not much has been revealed about Ms. Wideman of New Jersey by the trustee of her estate. She was a 1939 graduate of Notre Dame Academy.

Both St. Ursula and St. Francis will establish “family scholarship funds” with the trust funds, which will provide scholarship opportunities to financially needy students.
