MCCC to host genealogy seminar

The Genealogical Society of Monroe County will hold its 36th annual seminar on genealogical research Saturday in the Audrey M. Warrick Student Services Building at Monroe County Community College.

The program costs $27, with registration starting at 8 a.m. Keynote speaker Paula Stuart Warren will have four presentations. “Deeds in the Courthouse” will be at 9 a.m.; “Success in the Virtual Stacks,” 10:30 a.m.; “Step by Step Research Plans,” 1 p.m., and “Tho’ They Were Poor, They May Have Been Rich in Record” at 2:30 p.m.

Ms. Warren is from Minnesota and has been a genealogical researcher for several years. Vendors with genealogy books will be in attendance.
