BGSU board approves first contract with faculty union

BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees today approved the first contract with the faculty union.

The board agreed to the contract, which includes retroactive pay raises totaling 6.5 percent and increases of up to 9 percent over the next three years.

The BGSU Faculty Association members approved the terms in April. In 2010, the faculty voted to join the American Association of University Professors.

The contract takes retroactive effect on May 1.
