University of Toledo gets $250,000 grant for special ed leaders

The University of Toledo has received a nearly $250,000 competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

The grant, from the department's preparation of leadership personnel program, is to improve educational services for children with disabilities. The Department of Education’s program helps develop personnel who work in special education, providing them training and skills.

The grant award was announced by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio).
