Hearing set at Penta on education reforms

8/17/2013

The Penta Career Center will host members of the Ohio House Higher Education Study Committee on Tuesday, part of the committee’s statewide tour to help craft possible new state initiatives.

The hearing, which runs between 1 and 3 p.m. at the Center’s Perrysburg location, is titled “Transitioning to Higher Education and the Work Force.” The seven Ohio House representatives who make up the committee will discuss such topics as dual-enrollment programs, ways to improve student preparation and reduce remediation rates, career counseling, and a higher education and high school alignment project.

The hearing is the third of six planned for the committee at educational sites across Ohio.
