Monroe County Community College tech center formally opens today

Monroe County Community College will formally open its Career Technology Center at 10 a.m. today at the main campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd.

The $17-million, 60,000-square-foot facility will hold state-of-the-art classrooms and labs to train students in technological jobs.

At 1 p.m., a ribbon-cutting is to be held for the new Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant (Fermi 1) Exhibit at the center.
