The East Toledo Family Center today will receive a free refurbished laptop that it can make available as a public resource. The center is the latest organization to receive such a gift from the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio.
The medical insurance company donated seven laptops to five Toledo community organizations to establish a computer lab that offers Internet access to its clients and members of the community, said Linda Decker, health and outreach coordinator at UnitedHealth.
The donated computers were used by the UnitedHealthcare staff and then reconditioned for the program.
