Teacher of the month: Terri Mortemore

Mrs. Mortemore's dedication to her students and her profession set her apart from most. She has 31 years of experience in teaching chemistry and physical science. She is an Exemplary Demonstrator from the National Science Foundation Academy Chemical Demonstration Workshops, and has attended AP Summer Institutes at Butler University (2006) and Indiana Academy for Science, Math and Humanities (2013).

"Mrs. Mortemore is truly dedicated professional who holds herself and her students to the highest academic and personal standards," said Matt Dick, principal. "Academic rigor and success are built into her classes, but so is a ‘you can do it' expectation that her students appreciate and respect."

Mrs. Mortemore holds a Bachelor's degree (1982) and a Master's in Secondary Education (1990) from the University of Toledo.
