The Owens Community College fine and performing arts programs will be on full display over the next two weeks as musicians and talents will be on community display.

“It is fantastic,” said Eric Wallack, associate professor for the fine and performing arts. “All the students look forward to it.”

Several performances will be during the day in the fine and performing arts center lobby, which Mr. Wallack said is fun for people walking by. It is also a good recruiting tool, he said, for people who may consider joining.

The program began Nov. 20 with a harp recital put together by Denise Grupp-Verbon. Today, the voice class will perform in the studio theater.

Owens is at 30335 Oregon Rd., Perrysburg Township.

On Dec. 2 at 2 p.m., vocal students will sing popular music, and choreographed dance will be at 3 p.m.

On Dec. 3 at 3 p.m., jazz students will relate history through music.

On Dec. 5 at 2 p.m., a pop ensemble will perform songs from classic to contemporary.

On Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., Vocal students will perform Broadway and pop in the Mainstage Theatre.

On Dec. 8 at 2:30 p.m., the Owens Concert Band will play holiday music in the Mainstage Theatre.
