FREMONT — The sister of a former Terra State Community College professor and her husband have pledged $1 million to the college in his memory.

Wanda and Arnold Coldiron’s gift will result in the naming of the newest building on campus as the Ronald L. Neeley Conference and Hospitality Center. The 9,700-square-foot building features a conference center and culinary lab for hospitality-management students.

Mr. Neeley, who taught in the Fremont City Schools before joining the Terra faculty, helped develop the school’s graphics program and taught in it for 18 years.

The Coldirons endowed the Ronald L. Neeley Memorial Scholarship Fund after his death in 2006, and donated $105,000 in 2011 during a capital campaign for the renovation of the Bordner Arts and Health Technologies Center.
