A student team from Maumee Valley Country Day School is the Ohio co-winner of the Verizon Innovative App Challenge, a national contest in which students designed computer software apps addressing needs or problems in their communities.
The MVCDS students’ Beachteria app provides information about E. coli bacteria levels and the safety of freshwater beaches in the Midwest. The other Ohio winner was GlenOak High School in Canton.
