Mr. Jody Germann has been selected as Teacher of the Month for his dedication and commitment to his students in the Landscape and Turfgrass Management program at Penta Career Center. He is passionate about his job as a teacher and is an excellent role model to his students. Jody is a tremendous supporter of career-technical education as well as the FFA, a student leadership organization. He has successfully organized many events at Penta through his involvement in the FFA organization.

Mr. Germann has been recognized as 2013 Penta Teacher of the Year and as 1990 Eastern Star Agribusinessman. He is the recipient of the 1987 State FFA Degree and a 1990 American FFA Degree. He has earned Master Certification through the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association.

"Jody Germann is an inspiration to his students of all backgrounds and abilities," said Jim Henline, supervisor of Agriculture and Transportation at Penta. "He is highly effective in helping students find their passion and motivating them to learn as much as they can in school and through the FFA student leadership organization."

Mr. Germann holds an associate degree in Applied Science in Landscape Management and Greenhouse Operations and Management from the Agriculture Technical Institute at the Ohio State University (1991), a bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education from the University of Toledo (2006), and a master's degree in Mild to Moderate Special Education from Bowling Green State University (2011).
