Toledo Public Schools has announced schedule changes to the school calendar necessitated by earlier school closures due to the inclement weather.

The pre-scheduled district-wide waiver days and delayed starts have been canceled for the remainder of the school year. Students are expected to attend school for a full day Feb. 19, March 26, April 9, and May 14.

The delayed start for elementary school students on March 21st will still take place but for elementary students only, with high schools following their regular schedule on this date.

All TPS families are to receive an automated call and a letter from the district about the calendar adjustments.

District officials are finalizing plans to allow students to make-up lost instructional time by completing additional assignments outside of school.

The number of school days that TPS will be required to make-up remains be determined and depends upon a vote from state legislators on a bill that proposes granting school districts four additional calamity days this year.

As of today, TPS has been closed a total of 11 days due to the weather.
