Teacher of the month: Chris Lyons

Chris Lyons has been the recipient of the Franklin B. Walter Honored Teacher award for seven years. He was awarded the National Honor Society Outstanding Teacher Award for the 2005-06 and 2010-11 school years, and is the recipient of the Martha Holden Jennings Scholar Award in 2000-01. His middle school career earned him the Middle School Department of the year award in both 1991 and 1994, and his band performances have included Boston, Washington D.C., Walt Disney World and the Liberty Howl halftime show.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo.
