Teacher of the month: Maggie Gross

Maggie Gross, who teaches gym at the Alternate Learning Center, jumped into the position with a willingness to nurture diverse learning through engaging and educational experiences in physical education. Her positive attitude has helped to motivate others and has contributed to the continuous improvement of the school's culture.

Maggie is currently student teaching half days while working the other half. She incorporates Best Practice into her lessons - that's pretty outstanding!

"Maggie is the type of person who lights up the room when she walks in," said Brenda Gift, Ed.S., Student Services Team leader. "Her positive energy and quality teaching practices engage students and motivates them to succeed."

Maggie has a Master's in Education from Ohio State University.
