Perrysburg High’s 4 top achievers recognized

The Perrysburg Schools Board of Education recognized four top academic achievers from the 2014 Perrysburg High School graduating class during its meeting last week.

Alex Leong was awarded valedictorian and is a national merit scholarship finalist. He has a 4.44 grade point average according to Principal Michael Short and is planning to study engineering at Ohio State University or Case Western Reserve University.

Stephanie DeVoe will be the salutatorian with a 4.41 grade point average. She plans on going to North Carolina State University to earn dual majors in biochemistry and chemistry.

Lekha Vemuru and Scott Cunnings were honored for being national merit commended students. Ms. Vemuru plans to study biology at the University of Toledo. Mr. Cunnings will take up civil engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
