Jodi is a fabulous instructional leader and is always looking to incorporate new technologies or strategies in her classroom that make her a better teacher and her students better learners. Her use of technology in the classroom is one of her many strengths. She embraces the fact that students have cell phones and personal devices and looks at how they can be used as an educational tool. She works collaboratively with her department, sharing what she does and supporting them in any way needed.

Jodi has been the Science Department Chair for many years, leading and supporting the science department to best meet student needs. She is the on-line education program teacher leader, organizing and participating in credit recovery, summer school, and on-line credit opportunities for at-risk students. She has been an active member of the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) team for four years as well as pep club advisor for Whitmer students.

Jodi was nominated by the salutatorian of the Class of 2016, as the teacher who most positively impacted him during his schooling. She was recognized at a district Top 15 luncheon.

“I working with Jodi Fryman-Reed at the high school over the past four years, I have never been disappointed,” said Kristine Martin, principal. “She is always willing to help and step up to the plate when it is for the good of the kids.”

Jodi holds both a Bachelor and Master’s degree from the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
