The University of Toledo Board of Trustees selected Roy V. Armes and Birdel F. Jackson III as national trustees.
They will serve two-year terms as volunteers without voting privileges.
Mr. Armes is a former president and chief executive officer of Cooper Tire & Rubber Company and a 1975 graduate of UT's College of Engineering.
Mr. Jackson is a professional engineer who did engineering work for Olympic venues when Atlanta hosted the games. He is a 1968 graduate of UT's College of Engineering.
Last year, the board named Christine Brennan, a USA Today columnist who grew up in the Toledo area, as its first national board member.
