Columbia Gas of Ohio has reduced its rate for next month, which, combined with warmer weather, will reduce bills.
The company plans to charge $1.02 per 100 cubic feet in July, down from $1.04 in June and up from the $1.01 in the same month last year. The average bill next month will be $32, down from $45 this month, a utility spokesman said.
If the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio does not object, the rate will be in effect from June 29 through July 28.
