The city of Sylvania is hosting a Shred Day on April 27 as part of its recycling program.

Sylvanians can scrap sensitive documents, papers, and identification cards at the annual event held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sylvania Municipal Court parking lot, 6700 Monroe St.

AccuShred, a documentation and destruction company, will provide the service onsite. Each resident can dispose of up to 50 pounds of paper for free. Anything beyond the 50-pound weight limit will cost $3 a container.

The documents to be destroyed should be boxed or bagged and binder or paper clips removed. All the shredded paper will be recycled. For more information call 419-885-8947.
