Heavy load arrives in Port of Toledo

Two new steam generators for the Davis-Besse nuclear power plant are unloaded from a ship Thursday at the Port of Toledo.

Each generator is 74 feet long, 12 feet tall, and weighs 470 tons. The generators were manufactured by a company in Cambridge, Ont., and shipped across Lake Erie to Toledo.

They will be taken by train this weekend to Oak Harbor. They will be installed at Davis-Besse in 2014.
