Nuclear plant to hire workers, hold job fair

NEWPORT, Mich. — DTE is hiring up to 20 skilled-trade workers for its Fermi 2 nuclear plant north of Monroe, the company announced Monday.

Those interested are encouraged to attend a job fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in DTE Energy’s Monroe Activities Center, 2035 Fix Rd., Monroe.

The positions are expected to be in the areas of instrument and control technicians, mechanical journeymen, and electricians. Attendees are encouraged to bring a résumé and their journeyman card. The jobs are to begin in December.
