Marathon Petroleum’s Peiffer to retire Jan. 1

FINDLAY — Garry L. Peiffer will retire Jan. 1 as Marathon Petroleum Corporation's executive vice president of corporate planning and investor and government relations. Mr. Peiffer joined Marathon Oil Co. in 1974.

He was named to his current position in July, 2011, when Marathon Petroleum was spun off from Marathon Oil. In 2012, he also became president of MPLX GP LLC, a Marathon Petroleum spinoff. He will retire from that position as well.
