Description: The City of Perrysburg exhibits contemporary textile art by Jennifer Solon

A Sense of Surface, is a collection of Jennifer Solon’s latest mixed media fiber works. The solo exhibit, curated by Main Art-ery , focuses on Jennifer’s innovative use of surface design techniques applied over hand dyed cloth. These multi-layered textile constructions incorporate a multitude of mediums from her original hand dyed fabrics to encaustic overlays. The pieces selected for this exhibit reflect an appreciation of nature and landscapes, with many collages celebrating the rituals of spring.

Jennifer has been a featured artist on Quilting Arts TV and has been published in Quilting Arts Magazine as well as winning numerous recognitions and awards. She is currently an active member of the organizing committee for Fiber577, an annual Perrysburg fiber arts exhibition that showcases the diversity and latest creative innovations by regional fiber artists.

A Sense of Surface exhibit runs from March 1 – April 15 in the Perrysburg Administration Building 201 W. Indiana Ave. in Perrysburg. The exhibit is open Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm . All works are available for purchase through Jennifer Solon.
