Description: Bernie Place, owner of Wild Bird’s Unlimited of Toledo, Ohio will be giving a presentation on how to attract more and a wider variety of birds to your backyard and to your feeders. Toledo sits in one of the largest migratory pathways of birds in the United States. Migration season is about to begin. Learn how to attract both the rare, feathered visitors along with your favorite, returning, feathered residents. Bernie will also be talking about bat houses and the importance of attracting bats to your backyard.


Lara Joseph, owner of The Animal Behavior Center llc, located in Sylvania, Ohio will be giving a half hour introduction, beginning at 7:30, on training and interacting with animals using applications in positive reinforcement training. You may even get the opportunity to see one of the exotic birds flying in the unique 9,000 square foot grassed in facility that is bringing in spectators and animal owners and trainers from across the country. The Animal Behavior Center, llc is a new business to the Sylvania area. We offer behavior modification training, behavior, and education classes to the public using force-free methods in positive reinforcement training to train and build relationships with animals. We are proud to be offering our first event to the public and donating proceeds to The Black Swamp Bird Observatory.
