Description: We are having Catastrophe Prevent Day on August 24, from 10 am- 5 pm. Located at Imagination Station.

Details: When a catastrophe strikes, who are the first ones to respond? Who helps prevent a catastrophe from occurring? Visit Imagination Station to find out! Meet Toledo area emergency organizations as they educate you on catastrophe risks, safety preparedness and career opportunities. You can explore emergency vehicles, try on safety gear, talk to a storm chaser and so much more.
Toledo’s Station will be here talking about the US Coast Guard and how they prevent catastrophes in our home town. Get the chance to see one of their boats, try on some gear and learn how their dog, Marley, helps them do their job. Visitors can learn all about the world of firefighting. Toledo Fire & Rescue Department will bring a ladder truck (sirens and all!), and you will get the chance to test out their remote controlled hose! Firefighters will be on hand to talk about their job, fire safety and show off their gear. Kids can even become a firefighter and use a firehose to save a house from kid-friendly flames. On Catastrophe Prevention Day, take a look inside one of ProMedica’s emergency vehicles. Cost is included in the general admission.
