Description: Annual Blissfield Railroad Festival. Train rides across town on the Adrian & Blissfield railroad. Climb aboard a real diesel locomotive and caboose. 5 big model railroads open Saturday and Sunday. In addition, 4 large modular railroads will be open on Saturday at the American Legion Hall. Downtown shops will have railroad displays. Buy/Sell/Swap railroad TRAIN SHOW on Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. A railroad "Operation Lifesaver" presentation will be shown periodically at the historic depot. A free shuttle bus is being provided by the Adrian "Forty and Eight" organization. The "Old Road Dinner Train" will operate on Saturday evening, loading at 6 p.m. Dinner Train reservations may be made by calling 888-467-2451.
A $5 per person ticket is required. Children not old enough to require a seat on the train ride are free. The ticket is good for both Saturday and Sunday and gets the bearer into all venues, including the train ride, the Sunday train show (buy/sell/swap)and all model railroad and other railroad displays. Tickets will be on sale both days at the Dinner Train depot on the east side of town, the Blissfield Model Railroad Club, the historic depot, and the American Legion Hall. The tickets will have a list of all displays and a map to assist in locating various venues. Visitors can have lunch at any of 7 restaurants in the Blissfield area.
