Description: Mercy’s 2014 “A Night to Remember” featuring Lou Gramm and the Toledo Symphony

Mercy Foundation is pleased to present the 25th annual, “A Night to Remember,” event on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Stranahan Theater and Great Hall in Toledo, Ohio.

Following a reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., guests will be entertained at 8:00 p.m. with a live auction and concert featuring Lou Gramm, The Voice of Foreigner and the Toledo Symphony.

Lou Gramm, the lead vocalist for the band Foreigner is one of the most successful rock vocalists of the late 1970s and 1980s. His unique vocals have made Foreigner, one of “Billboard's Top 100 Artists of All Time” in hit songs history. The group’s hit songs, include "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Long, Long Way from Home," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision," "Blue Morning, Blue Day," "Head Games," "Urgent," and "Juke Box Hero.” He co-wrote most of the songs for the band, which achieved two of its biggest hits with "Waiting for a Girl Like You,” and "I Want to Know What Love Is."

Formed in 1943, the Toledo Symphony has grown from a core group of twenty-two part-time musicians to a regional orchestra that employs nearly eighty professional musicians who consider the Toledo Symphony their primary employer, as well as numerous extra players annually as repertoire demands. They currently partner with Mercy to bring the community “Music Under the Stars.”

We celebrate and salute our numerous underwriters and donors who make this event possible. The community support for this elegant event has helped us raise more than $3,000,000 over the course of 25 years.
